ACTFL identified Teaching Grammar as a Concept as a “core practice,” encouraging teachers to teach grammar conceptually and help students use it in context. Even if we figure out what that really means, we have a suspicion there is more to it than just the one catchphrase. This session will explore macro- and micro-strategies for grammar acquisition, and what “use in context” looks like in the classroom.
